I'm pleased with this recent draft, but I know I still have a ways to go. As trite as it sounds, I'm trying to be patient with myself and the process. I suffer the delusion that if only I had enough time, I could finish. Yet with this draft I finally merged several elements from previous drafts into a "new" beginning. I know that was due to time, simmering, and my evolution as a writer, which only happens when I write. Thanks so much for the kind words and encouragement. I know exactly how you feel–that’s how I’m looking at a book I’ve written a lot of junk for and which I’ve since shelved for the time being. Since, I’m just not good enough (or have enough time) to do it justice.
