There doesn't seem to be a lot of alarming stuff in it, and the overall message is acceptance, with good music to accompany it. When I was in school I loved the books of movies, but when I got older and read them, I was shocked at how poorly written they were. All reading is good reading, IMO, but seek out some well-written books, too, Katie--ask your librarian for advice! I think this might even be something my 4yo son Drake might enjoy.
