The guy who played Aldous really did a good job. He could easily have been a one-note jerk, but instead he came off as a decent guy who just couldn't keep it in his pants. Someone I know wondered if he included the Dracula puppet thing in there because Segal actually wrote it and putting it in the movie was a way to get at least part of it seen.

In general, I really loved the character of Aldous Snow, and felt he stole most of the scenes he was in. I also loved Jonah Hill's performance, and most of the interactions with Peter's (step?)brother. At the time, I felt that I liked the movie less than I did "Knocked Up", but since seeing it almost a week ago, my boyfriend and I have been quoting it (and laughing uproariously) to each other pretty frequently. There were elements of the script that I felt didn't jive (I think it would have been nice to have seen some evidence of Peter's character being as neglectful as Sarah tearfully claims later on in the film... near as I can tell, the worst flash-back offense he committed was indeed wearing sweatpants for a week), but the same nitpicks could be applied to Knocked Up. Ultimately I did enjoy this film quite a lot. Seriously though, I wish we could see an entire performance of "Dracula: The Musical!" Perhaps on the DVD?
