The Tennessee State Fair is sketchy and comprised predominantly of beauty pageants, horse shows, and large vehicle (trucks and otherwise) rallies. The food, near as I can tell, is strictly carnival fare. I love funnel cake as much as the next person, but when that's all you're flogging? Sad. What I wouldn't give for some cheese curds (and hey, because I'm Canadian, I'm just as likely to sprinkle them liberally on my fries and then smother them in gravy...).
