The movie is so good I barely noticed the subtitles, though when I did bother to try to listen to the French, the dialogue didn’t always match the subtitles–the subtitles sometimes included nuance as well that I might’ve missed reading vs. listening.

Thanks for the rec! I’ll keep it in mind, and maybe wait till the movie fades a bit so I’m not so matchy matchy when reading it.

If you have time this summer, you should read the Harlan Coben novel on which the film is based. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

We have this one on our Netflix queue - it’s actually available through watch it now, which is nice and convenient… I’ve been interested in giving this a try for a while, but I haven’t been in the mood much for sub-titles (maybe my French is still good enough that I wouldn’t need them, but why chance it?). Soon though!
