The tricky thing is that they’ve allotted pages based only on the books, figuring the end notes will average out. But I just finished a very dense 9 page end note, so this may be more of a fill time gig than I thought it would be.

My husband started it on a vacation to the North Shore we took in the summer of ‘00, gave up, then read it again last summer. Only eight years, compared to your ten, but why not join the challenge, and have another go? All the cool kids are doing it…

75 pages a week doesn’t seem too bad. I’ve lately been finding that if I can break my big reads down into smaller reads (I’ve currently given myself the goal of one section of BolaÃ±o’s 2666 per month) then I find them less daunting. I hope you post status updates letting us know how it’s going!
