5 weeks post partum! As if that time isn't hard enough as is. That sounds so difficult, and I am so sorry, but glad that you're around to tell the tale and to send such encouraging words.

I had my gallbladder removed 5 weeks post partum with Pregnancy Induced Gallstone Pancriatitis.

Attacks are terribly painful, it's actually much better just to get the damn thing removed. Every nurse who looked at my chart when they came on shift got a very soft, understanding look and asked me if I wanted more pain meds (I was in the hospital for a week on IV diet until my acute inflammation went down).

I had the "easy" laproscopic surgery. I still opted to stay in the hospital overnight afterwards. And your whole body is achey (the pump you full of air to be able to manuever around in there, and for a good week afterwards your shoulders hurt, get some bengay and heat pad).

But otherwise, he should be MUCH better. It'll be nice when eating something/anything doesn't make him randomly double over in excruciating pain, I know it made me much happier.
