And G. Grod sat undisturbed across the room, each of us at our own machine. Because of course it was your blog that penetrated the fog of my difficult post-partum time with Drake and made me want to claw my way back to being a thinking, writing, learning person. And of course that will all change when the baby arrives. But I've gone through it once, and I can go through it again, though it will be harder and different and perhaps longer till I get back to the place of physical/emotional/intellectual quasi-balance that I feel I sometimes am in nowadays. It's funny. The parenting magazines all feature articles about getting your body back, but not one of them mentions getting one's mental faculties back.
