For me this was not a great film but a great "debut" of sorts for actress Greta Gerwig. I could not take my eyes off her. And not just because she is an unconventional kind of gorgeous (broad shoulders, big brown eyes, gum-filled smile) but because she was really natural at playing this character. She's a 25 year old college grad working as a personal assistant and singing at open mics. I don't want to sound like a bonehead, but that's a very REAL character. Also she lived in a studio. How often do you see a realistic apartment like that? Me again!
