I like the one you bought ok, but Plague of Doves is fantastic.  Just. Fantastic.

Tracks is fantastic as well, and really does a lovely job of combining the craziness of Indian law and land and fiction.  Love Medicine, of course, and The Beet Queen, plus Tracks and Doves are my favorites of hers.

Miracle and Drum are less favored, though still good.  I didn't read the ones in between, having been dissuaded.  My friend says Shadow Tag is the saddest thing he's ever read.  I have it on my shelf . . .</description>
