		<description>That's the flattering interpretation. Another is the parents are so slow to respond that the kid takes up reading in self defense. I'd love to believe the former, but I keep the latter in mind for humility, because it feels dangerous to tempt the gods by thinking "hey, I'm doing a good job" which is usually followed by something embarrassing.</description>
