I've only made it through S1 of The Wire, but many what a rollercoaster that was. I've heard S4 is truly spectacular as well, so I'm not surprised to hear you enjoyed it. I actually couldn't get through it the first time around (when the series was actually running--I just picked it up again in season 5 and that worked out fine, heh). I finally managed to see all of it on a full series rewatch this summer. so tough. heartbreaking. season 4 was so hard for me to watch.
