With time, that's mutated in fullblown dislike for the book and I am now wholly unwilling to read anything else by Lahiri. Mostly I remembered how ever single story in that collection was the same, and lo and behold, The Lowland sounds exactly like everything Lahiri has ever written. Don't care that it's a finalist for ToB this year, I'm not at all interested in it and won't be giving it any of my time or money.
