Yes, here there be monsters, but also gods, and many gods acting monstrous and some monsters acting godlike, and plenty of humans who go both ways, so to speak. Interesting that the "monsters" in this book, especially Roderick Burgess and John Dee, are human, while Satan and Death are both awesome.

Well, I have to say I was reminded of Grover and "There's a monster at the end of this book." Hope within the Hell will keep me reading, but absolutely 24 hours was the place where I was very much not wanting to turn the next page to see who the monster was -so to speak. But very intrigued with how it ended with "feeding the birds.". Thank you for this trip I am embarking on. Looking forward to seeing/dreaming what's next.

Note: in both of my digitized versions, single issue and TPB, the colour is corrected, at least on your example page.

Am reading the digital single issues, but also the digital versions of the collected volumes in TPB. Going back and forth, will look for any differences. Most of my comments will be on Twitter with #SandMN, but these will prove an excellent starting point for the group.

So far, so good, but am happy to hear it gets better. It's a lot of hype to live up to and I like what I see from the prologue in #9 already. More myth, more classic stories, more dreams. Let's do it.
