How Things Are

Last week my husband G. Grod sends me a notice that our favorite revival theater is showing The Seventh Seal, which we’ve never seen.

“No thanks,” I said. “I feel like I should see it, but I’d much rather collapse on the couch with you and watch the rest of Season 1 of Party Down.”

So we did. And I loved it.

I watched The Seventh Seal with Mr. and Master in 2007…

which I believe was the same year Master talked me into watching Bubba Ho-Tep.

For what it’s worth, I remember the latter better:

Oh, crud, Melissa. We have Bubba Ho Tep in the house, unwatched. I have so much work I need to do, yet how am I supposed to ignore that sign from the universe while I’m still feeling sniffly from that story?

I wanted to make it, but Sunday is the only day I could have gone and it was already action-packed. I foresee a DVD request to the library. I can’t shake the Bill-and-Ted “borrowing” of Death, though.
